With picks and shovels King Thror’s Dwarves carved deep shafts into the living rock of the Lonely Mountain. Mining Erebor’s rich veins of gold and gem stones, the Longbeards quickly attained a level of prosperity unrivalled in all of Middle-earth.

Yet boasts of such vast treasure were also quick to attract the gaze of narrowed, jealous eyes...

To guard his hoard, King Thror set a watch upon his gate. Dwarf soldiers, well-trained and armed with swords, axes and long spears mounted an unending vigil at the entrance to the underground city. Stoking the forges of the Mountain kingdom and harnessing the skills of Middle-earth greatest armourers, Thror clad his regal Erebor guards in thick plate and square-edged helms, ornately etched and engraved with snaking patterns befitting the protectors of the world’s greatest treasure.

Back by popular demand, Weta Workshop is proud to announce the return of its Helm series.  Each 1:4 scale Helm is made from polystone and comes in an edition of just 750.

Sculptor Gary Hunt, who helped bring The Hobbit trilogy to life on screen, had the honour of crafting this noble piece to stand proudly among your 1:4 scale helm collection.

The unique access to original movie props enjoyed by Weta’s artists meant Gary had an actual, screen-used helmet on his desk as the ultimate in reference.

Weta Workshop’s high-quality Middle-earth collectibles are designed by the very same artists and technicians who work on our film projects. It takes 400-500 hours to design, sculpt, model make, mold, and paint the prototype for each new piece. Whether it be a prop replica, beautiful environment or iconic character, we treat our collectibles with the same level of care and attention to detail that we bring to our film work.
